Bodaki Station Greater Noida: New Multi-Modal Railway Hub

GREATER NOIDA — The people residing in Gautam Buddha Nagar and other nearby areas won’t have to travel to congested train stations in Delhi and Ghaziabad to get onto long-distance trains anymore, as an advanced railway station is coming up in Bodaki, near Dadri, that will provide them with interstate trains as well as connectivity to the metro, rapid rail, and bus systems.

The new Bodaki Multi-Complex Railway Station will be located approximately three kilometers away from the Greater Noida Authority. The Bodaki Station would be part of an integrated transport facility spanning a massive area of 176 to 400 acres, out of which over 46 hectares of land have been earmarked for the railway station alone. This upcoming development can be one of the major reasons for the boost in property prices in Greater Noida.

Lying on the vital Delhi-Howrah railway line, this Bodaki Station will significantly enhance connectivity to east and northeast India. Travelling from Greater Noida to any major city in Uttar Pradesh, like Kanpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Gorakhpur, would be much easier from the Bodaki Railway Station.

There would be connectivity from the junction to important cities of Bihar such as Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, and Darbhanga. There will also be connectivity to the eastern cities such as Dhanbad, Ranchi, Asansol, Howrah, Kolkata, and Guwahati. This will greatly impact the Greater Noida real estate scenario.

As a world-class transit station, there will be 12 platforms and 63 yards with a loop line. The station can handle more than 100 trains per day, with flagship services including Vande Bharat, Rajdhani Express, and other long-distance express trains.

Multi-Modal Connectivity Network

The priority of the project is to have smooth transitions between various modes of transport under one roof:

  • Noida Metro Aqua Line: An extension of 2.6 kilometers will come out of the existing depot station and will connect to the Bodaki complex through two new stations named Janapada and Bodaki.

  • Namo Bharat Rapid Rail & Airport Link: The Bodaki Station is one of the important stations on the 72-kilometer-long proposed 72-kilometer-long Namo Bharat route between Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, and Jewar. This will pass through important locations like Knowledge Park-V, Pari Chowk, and Kasna, which not only give you fast transit to Noida International Airport at Jewar but also connect to the Delhi-Meerut rapid rail route.

  • Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT): There will be a specially designated bus terminal of 12.5 acres where commuters can get off the train and can switch to state transport buses.

  • Arterial Highway Links: Direct road connectivity will connect the Bodaki Station to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, NH-34 (earlier NH-91), the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway through two planned 105-meter- and 60-meter-wide feeder roads.

Modern Passenger Amenities & Implementation

Bodaki Station is not only an improvement to railway infrastructure but is also constructed as a modern two-story building. While the ground floor level will be used for core railway services, upper floors will accommodate commercial centers, food courts, and hotels offering dining, shopping, and lodging amenities to passengers.

As part of efforts to ensure rapid implementation, Special Railway Project status has been accorded to the project. As per the DPR and NCR Master Plan, the project is estimated to be completed in three years from the date of sanctioning of the project. Upon completion of Bodaki Station, it will provide relief to passengers of central Delhi and Ghaziabad stations.
