Noida: The Government of Uttar Pradesh, in its ambitious plan to attract more foreign investments and construct modern infrastructure, is all set to create a special Singapore City Noida in Sector 7, located near the Noida International Airport of Jewar, as revealed by the declarations of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida).
The groundbreaking project was officially brought up for discussion in a high-level meeting held in Lucknow between Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and a 14-member group of Singaporean industrialists and investors, headed by the SBF Chairman Mark Lee. This came right after the chief minister's visit to Singapore.
In the process of interaction, the chief minister Yogi Adityanath made it clear that the collaboration of Singapore's technology and the potential of Uttar Pradesh will write a new story in the world of growth. The chief minister pointed out the extent of manufacturing in the state and informed that Uttar Pradesh makes up to about 55% of mobile phones production and 60% of electronic components manufacturing in India.
Before the formal discussion, SBF chairman Mr. Mark Lee and other members of the delegation had visited different industrial areas in Noida and Greater Noida. The visiting businessmen appreciated the strong infrastructure, good investment environment, and friendly policies of the state. Also, they appreciated many successful projects in the region like Film City, Toy Park, Apparel Park, Medical Devices Park, and the future semiconductor cluster in Greater Noida and YEIDA area.
Making comparisons with the development model of Singapore, Adityanath emphasized that the vision of the founder of this country, the late Lee Kuan Yew, showed how much a nation’s global position depended upon the vision, efficiency, and proper use of its resources rather than the geographic extent of the region. In addition, officials stated that India, under the prime ministership of Mr. Narendra Modi for the last 12 years, became the leading and robust economy of the world by transforming itself from a “fragile economy.”
Due to such large-scale developments, the property investment ecosystem in the Yamuna Expressway and the real estate situation in the region are supposed to gain global attention.
